02 Aug Driving with an electric garbage truck!

A branch of transport that was high on my bucket list: on the back of a garbage truck! And not just any truck, because today we are going on the road with a 100% electrically powered truck: the Volvo FE Electric from Van Kaathoven.

From the ‘Mooi Rooi’ we travel very silently to the municipality Meierijstad. There is a mountain of PMD waste waiting for us to be collected. To be precise, thousands of bags full of plastic packaging, cans, drink cartons and also a handful of bags which did not pass our inspection. We have to roll up our sleeves and redouble our efforts. A great day with laughing, howling, roaring, sweating and wringing gloves.
